That's the good news. The bad news: it was going to cost a MINIMUM of $23.60 for the combo book "Love & Friendship." That would have been the absolute minimum price, in which I would not receive a penny. Don't get me wrong, I'm no money-grubber, but I would like a LITTLE bit of a royalty -- I worked very hard on "Dies Irae" for five years. And even if I did go penniless, the book would STILL be too expensive.
SO, because of that, I decided to NOT publish the combo books -- no one's going to pay that much for a 500 page book from a "nobody." Instead, I made the four single, novella paperbacks available again, and assigned them an ISBN and distribution package so they can be ordered by bookstores and sold at Amazon. They are a little more expensive than the last time I published them without the distribution package, but I think the prices are still reasonable (from what I've seen at my bookstore, anyway). Not to mention, I love the book covers for them more than I do the combo books.
I worked all evening formatting and publishing these four books. Of course, that means I didn't get anything else done that I wanted to do (sad day D:), but in order to put "Dies Irae" back on Amazon, I think it was worth it. The great thing about re-publishing books is that I get to post partial reviews on the back cover. Awesome. I think they really spiced things up and I thank all of you who gave reviews for "Dies Irae." Those are still posted at my website (rvances.com) if anyone wants to read those reviews. Just go to the "Book Synopsis" category, then "Fantasy" and then "Dies Irae."
Speaking of reviews, I need more for "Dies Irae." If anyone is willing to post reviews on Lulu.com, I will gladly send you the PDFs free of charge for you to read.
